Last Wednesday, January 29th, we conducted, on WeWork-Savassi, the first edition of Neo Cases, event created by Neo Ventures, which brought together a reference team in the brazilian innovation scenario to present successful cases in the innovation environment to the ecosystem and to people interested in knowing more about the topic, whether to implement in their companies or to understand the opportunities for the startups.
In this edition, we received Rodrigo Carazolli, innovation manager at ArcelorMittal, André Medina, innovation manager at Andrade Gutierrez, and Guilherme Arruda, CEO of the Startup Vg Resíduos.
With the mediation of Neo Ventures Technical Director, Vinícius Roman, approximately 60 participants were able to clarify their questions directly with the speakers.
We approached the importance of internal and external relations to generate innovation, such as Andrade Gutierrez, through Vetor AG, and ArcerlorMittal, through Açolab, are working to bring innovation to their companies, how the connection with startups are stablished, and future opportunities to expand the competitiveness in business.
Rodrigo Carazolli pointed out that many companies try to negotiate with large corporations and fail. “The door to startups start working with us is certainly throught the innovation department. Most of the time, they knock on the door of logistics or supplies departments, but because the demand there is very focused on solving problems, they do not advance in the negotiation,” he said.
André Medina highlighted a case of sucess in the first phase of Vector AG. “The startup, from Minas Gerais, presented a solution of magnetized water that reduced the use of cement by 4%, imagine the savings in works like Belo Monte (hydroelectric plant),” he said.
We are working in the next editions of Neo Cases, stay tuned in our social media channels so you will not miss them!
